On March 6, the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in collaboration with the global e-commerce platform Alibaba announced the selection of 100 outstanding enterprises to participate in the Vietnam National Pavilion on Alibaba.com.
The selection process for the 100 outstanding enterprises to join the Vietnam National Pavilion on Alibaba.com took place from November 28, 2023, to January 15, 2024, aimed at finding the best Vietnamese enterprises based on 14 evaluation criteria, including product quality, brand reputation, e-commerce proficiency, export potential, business scale, geographic distribution, and many other factors.
According to Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Agency, Alibaba.com is one of the prestigious global e-commerce channels with over 260 million buyers from 190 countries and territories. This is a potential market for Vietnamese enterprises to expand their business scale and sell to customers worldwide.
"The Ministry of Industry and Trade highly appreciates the role of Alibaba.com in promoting, organizing support activities, consulting, and training for Vietnamese enterprises to gain more skills and knowledge about online export, thereby conducting sustainable business,” Mr. Phu emphasized.
Speaking at the Annual International Conference on B2B Online Export and the announcement of the 100 outstanding enterprises participating in the Vietnam National Pavilion on Alibaba.com on March 6, Mr. Mike Zhang, Country Director of Alibaba.com Vietnam, said that the Vietnam National Pavilion is a special showcase for outstanding Vietnamese products and a strategic platform for distinguished enterprises to connect with global consumers, thereby maximizing their international market potential. Alibaba.com will support enterprises to reach their full potential in the global market.
Accordingly, Vietnamese suppliers selected for this program will not only benefit from online visibility through the Vietnam National Pavilion on Alibaba.com but also receive technical support, consulting, training, and other assistance in building and enhancing their business profiles on this e-commerce platform.
